BASIC FUNCTION

To generate detailed drawings and perspectives (color rendering) based on customer’s Line drawings/sketches/specs for manufacturing and quoting purpose.


SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Receives Line drawings/sketches with specs and AAG (at-a-glance) from Project Managers for making detailed drawings using Computer Aided Design (CAD) software and perspective views (color rendering) using Adobe CS3 Photoshop and/or Rhinoceros/Flamingo softwareork. Generate PDF version of shop drawings CAD drawings.
2. Interpret and transfer design intents to final shop drawings for manufacturing – shop drawings include all necessary views and specs from both customer and Mark David standards.
3. Make recommendation and alternative proposals when customer’s design does suit manufacturing reality or Mark David’s capability
4. Work with Staff Engineer and Plant engineering on Value Engineering activities.
5. Perform other tasks assigned by management.

Supervisory Relationships:
Direct report to the Reports directly to MD Studio Supervisor, - RP Kohler Interiors
Dittoted line report to Procurement Manager – Operations, Mark David

Organization Relationships:
Frequent collaborative associations with Account managers, SQEs, Procurement Specialists

External Business Relationships:
Collaborative associations with suppliers and designers..


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline (e.g. Wood processing, furniture design); minimum 8 years of furniture making experience with three years CAD design experience;
Proficiency in written English and Chinese is required.
